As we all must  organize and optimize every aspect of our work, locally researched, timely, and ease-to-use construction cost data is critical.

Training, specialized support services, and technology play equally important roles.

  • Cloud based JOC software assures collaboration using current data and provided immediate access to all project participants and oversight groups.
  • Technology and services must also equally support and benefit owners, contractors, subs, and building users.  It should also be intuitive, easy to use without weeks of training.
  • Services must be provided by skilled professionals with decades of expertise.
  • Training should be ongoing and provided at all levels and in multiple formats (Regional, On-site, Virtual)

JOC can provide multiple benefits, however, may JOC Programs have  a record of less than optimal performance.  This is largely due to lack of training and competence on the part of the real property owner/facilities management and/or the inappropriate selection of JOC tools and services. For example, some owners rely upon a JOC consultant indefinitely and virtually outsource JOC program management.   While this is a perfectly good solution for owner learning JOC, it is far less efficient versus direct owner management.
